USAA SafePilot is a telematics or UBI program that uses a mobile application to track your driving habits. Using your USAA login, you can see your score in real-time after each trip.
With this USAA car monitoring system, the higher your driving score, the higher the discount you earn on your auto insurance rates at the time of your policy renewal, up to 30%. You also receive up to a 10% discount just for signing up.
Your rates cannot increase as a result of participating in the program. However, you can earn different discounted USAA SafePilot auto insurance rates after your policy renewal.

To earn your affordable USAA SafePilot auto insurance discount, you must be a USAA auto insurance customer.
Enroll on the company website and download the SafePilot mobile app. Next, simply start driving. All drivers on your policy must use the program.
See your score update in real-time in the mobile app. The app will automatically log your trips. You do not have to turn it on or off for it to work.
At the time of your policy renewal, your discount will be revealed and applied. The program starts over at the beginning of your next policy term.
What driving habits does USAA SafePilot track?
The USAA car monitor system tracks seven different driving habits. Those include:
